Stronger Together

This critically impacts the life course of young people and women which contributes to the cycle of early pregnancy and marriage, as well as, poor educational attainment and population health outcomes.

International Menstruation Day 29th May celebration with our partners
In April 2021, TEA received a donation of 100 AFRIpad school girl Kit each included a packet of 6 AFRIpad reusable pads, 2 carrier bags and a knicker. Through a writing competition about menstrual experiences via a local community radio (Amazon 97.2 FM), 100 vulnerable girls from different rural areas of Kakumiro district were selected and received the menstrual kit and training on menstrual products, hygiene and care. This was part of TEA's celebration of International Menstruation Day (29th May). These were followed up 9months later to obtain feedback on utilization, challenges and benefits. TEA annually celebrates International Menstruation Day with various activities including radio talk shows.
