This program looks at advocating for the rights of vulnerable people and young people to education, while also ensuring that there is an increase in the uptake of health services and programs in order to achieve a healthy and poverty free society.
The organization conducts baselines studies to identify community and school needs affecting adolescents and the community. We often conduct our advocacy programs on radio talk shows on Amazon 97.2 FM. This is a local community radio in Kisiita Town Council, Kakumiro district.
Turihamwe Empowerment and Advocacy
Turihamwe Empowerment and Advocacy (TEA) is an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operating in Kakumiro district in Western Uganda. We envision its operations to spread country wide. The NGO started in July 2019 and is registered by the Uganda NGO Board and is working towards empowerment and advocacy of young people, women and parents to acquire knowledge and skills to achieve independence, sustainable growth and development.
